An excellent way to start your visit is to stop by one of the three visitor centers: Oasis Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms, Cottonwood Visitor Center (off I-10) or Black Rock Canyon Campground in Yucca Valley. The Visitor Centers offer a wide variety of materials to help you make the most of your visit and gain a better understanding of the unique environment of Joshua Tree National Park.
